DocSSage® Combines the Following Techniques:

Trigger Points are localized spasms or knots in the muscle fibers that may cause pain to be referred to other, more distant parts of the body. We will show you the exact areas that are the most common to have trigger points present and we’ll demonstrate the easiest and most efficient ways to alleviate them.

Fascia is a connective tissue that  surrounds the muscles, bones, nerves, and organs of the body. Myofascial release is a gentle, manipulative treatment that releases the tension in the fascia due to trauma, repetitive movement or poor posture. We will show you easy techniques to release the myofascial tension and stop the pain.

After the trigger points and the fascia are released, we will show you easy deep tissue massage moves to ensure the muscle fibers regain and maintain their healthy shape and do not return to their tense and tight states. The proven sequence in which all of these techniques are used is crucial for longer lasting relief.

Passive stretches are done to you by your partner. We will show you how to use this stretching technique to improve your mobility and decrease the chances of scar tissue developing in the injured muscles. They are also  beneficial for preventing arthritis developing in the joints controlled by those muscles.

To ensure long lasting relief and no relapses, we put together basic stretches that you will do by yourself, on a daily basis. They are simple, but very efficient in preventing the return of the symptoms and improving your overall flexibility and posture. They are only 5 to 15 minutes long, but they have to be performed daily.

Proper posture is extremely important for a pain free body and overall health. We will show you the correct posture positions for sitting, standing, walking and lifting. We will also show you some easy exercises to help improve your core muscles and make it easier for you to maintain the proper posture.

Yes, pretty much anyone can do it. Whether you are a woman or a man, strong or weak, you can learn and perform the basic therapy. We teach you DocSSage® in very simple steps and show you the exact points that need to be compressed. You don’t need a lot of strength as long as you follow the easy directions. We show you how to use your body weight, not your muscles.

No, you do not. We will show you how to use your hands, elbows, knees, knuckes and fingers for pressure. We use the floor or a chair for all the massage moves.

Most of the treatments take between 15 and 30 minutes. For the most efficient results they do need to be performed at least every other day and, in some cases, every day. That is the advantage of learning how to do it yourself. You can save money and time. And it’s really very easy.

It really depends on the type of injury and how long has it been since it started. A simple strain can take as little as 2 to 4 sessions. A more complex, chronic, injury can take 6 to 12 sessions. However, you should always start seeing some relief after the first 2 or 3 sessions.

When I began my practice in 1998, I quickly discovered that patients improved much faster when I combined chiropractic care with corrective deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy and therapeutic stretches. Over the years, I added and combined different techniques  and developed DocSSage®. 

Many patients told me that they never experienced such a treatment and asked me if I know anyone that does it in other cities. Wanting to share my treatment with as many people as possible, I decided to put these videos together and make them available to the public.
